For four bachelors of the village of Leap Killcoulin's life passes slowly, too slowly. The remote town on the Irish perspective, no: no work, very few women of marriageable age and (with the exception of a large geriatric group for which they play every Saturday night) the night life is practically nonexistent. They seem stuck to live the rest of their days under an infinite boredom. When one of his friends decided to go in search of better fortune, others believe it is time to act.
